For more than a century, St. Thomas the Apostle Church has been a place of faith, worship, and community for families in Delmar and the surrounding Capital Region. Founded in 1907, our parish has grown from a small gathering of Catholic families into a vibrant community centered on Jesus Christ and His Church. Inspired by our patron, St. Thomas the Apostle, we seek to deepen our faith through prayer, the sacraments, Sacred Scripture, and service to others. At the heart of parish life is the celebration of the Holy Eucharist, where we gather as God's people to worship, receive Christ's presence, and be sent forth to live the Gospel in our daily lives. St. Thomas is a parish for all ages and stages of life. Through our parish ministries, faith formation programs, youth and young adult opportunities, small groups, outreach initiatives, and Catholic school, we strive to help every person grow as a disciple of Jesus Christ. Whether someone is exploring the Catholic faith, returning to the Church, raising a family, or seeking a deeper spiritual life, there is a place for them here. Our community is committed to fostering a welcoming environment where people can encounter Christ, build meaningful relationships, and discover opportunities to pray, serve, and belong. We believe that faith is not only something we profess but something we live through acts of charity, hospitality, and witness. As we continue our mission into the future, we remain grateful for the generations of parishioners who have built this parish and for all who join us on the journey today. We invite you to worship with us, grow with us, and become part of the St. Thomas family.
