We're looking forward to our next meeting on Tuesday, July 14th at 7:00pm in the Lower Lounge. We will delve into the readings and questions from Chapter 24 of the Signposts Book (Where Your Treasure Is - The Storing of Treasure).
We are taking a summer break for our Thursday meetings. Our next Thursday meeting will be Thursday, September 24th at 7:00pm. We'll meet in the Lower Lounge under the Sacristy and will continue with the second of a five-episode series on Man and the Dignity of Work. We are using a five-part video series put out by the Knights of Columbus entitled Into the Breach: The Dignity of Work. For each meeting, we're watching a short (12-15 minute) video covering a specific topic related to faith and work and then discussing the topic among ourselves. The series also offers practical goals and suggestions for participants to implement changes in their lives to better live out the principles expressed in each episode.
So, whether you're just starting out in the working world, are mid-career, are way past retirement (working doesn't end in retirement), love your work, or hate your work, this series offers a useful way to consider how your faith life can inform and integrate into your working life. Please see the link below for more information about the series. You're welcome to watch the video prior to the meeting, but it's definitely not necessary. And no need to come for all five - attend just one if that's all the time you have. Just show up, on Thursday, September 24th at 7:00pm in the Lower Lounge or any of thefollowing fourth Thursdays of the month. We hope to see you there!
