Creation Care Team events

COME TO THE BETHLEHEM FAITH COMMUNITIES Creation Care Team meeting, February 13 at 7:00 PM, First United Methodist Church, and learn how you can join with your neighbors to protect God's gift of creation. Projects include development of the role of volunteer "knowledge workers" prepared to educate other members of our community about composting and changes in the recycling guidelines. Preparation for this role begins with participation in one of the classes offered by Bethlehem Town Parks and Recreation Department on March 3 or 17. Go to Free Composting/Recycling Classes in March on the Town of Bethlehem site to sign up. Registration is required.

The Bethlehem Community Team is also planning a Repair Café where you can work with repair coaches to restore appliances, clothes, toys, wooden furniture to extend their useful life.

More projects are also in development. The Bethlehem Faith Communities Creation Care Team was initiated by St. Thomas' Creation Care Team in late 2019. Meetings will be rotated among participating faith communities; the February 13 meeting is at 7:00 PM in the First United Methodist Church (428 Kenwood Avenue).

VOORHEESVILLE REPAIR CAFÉ is March 14, 1:00 pm in the Voorheesville Library.
