CONGRATULATIONS to Jessica Logan and Zhangliang Ma who received the Sacraments of Initiation (Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist) last Sunday at a Mass for family and friends in the Chapel. Father Berberian celebrated the Mass. The Initiation Rites are normally performed during the Easter Vigil Mass, but were postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The St. Thomas Creation Care Team invites you to participate in a short survey about how this ministry can better respond to the Pope’s call to care for our common home. This link opens the survey:

Happy Autumn! Our St. Thomas colors were shining brightly! Together we were able to put together 16 Blessing Bags with a huge box of leftover items that Maura Barrett our Pastoral Care Associate will be able to add to our Blessing Bags as needed. Thank YOU for reminding our homebound parishioners that they are remembered and loved by our St. Thomas Family! Special shout out to our Faith Formation students Eli & Abby Proper and Jack Lanzoni for greeting, sorting and assembling our Blessing Bags! WE ARE FAMILY HERE at ST. THOMAS
Thank you so much for the truck load of lunch snacks and other foods for the children served at St. John St. Ann’s Outreach Center! Staff was amazed and so grateful for your generosity. The Children served at the center will have lots of yummy surprises in their lunch bag because of you! God Bless!
CATHOLIC ELECTION RESPONSIBILITY - With a crucial election this year, the Public Policy Ministry is focusing on aspects of preparing ourselves to vote. One way is to prepare our conscience in accordance with the information provided by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops on their website and on the “CIVILIZE IT” page which is posted on the Church website under “Peace and Public Policy” documents. Over the next several months, we will be posting prayers and other portions of the Faithful Citizenship documents which are the teachings on the political responsibility of Catholics. Go to www.usccb.org/faithfulcitizenship to see all the materials provided by the Bishops.
Let's remember Mr. Rogers' final words to each of us –“Tikkun Olam.” These ancient Jewish words are so appropriate and needed today. They mean “be repairers of creation.”
“Praise the Lord!” Our friends from the New Jerusalem Church were so appreciative of your love and support! Special thanks to Bob and Martha Keen who also shared many bags from our food pantry. After unloading our truck and car with your donations they invited Barbara and I to pray with them. Together we thanked and praised the Lord for YOU and our Parish Community! On Saturday your donations will be shared with over 500 neighbors at their Neighborhood Block Party. YOU MADE a DIFFERENCE!
