“A 2019 Pew Research Study unveiled a concerning reality: only one-third of practicing U.S. Catholics believe in the Real Presence of Christ in the Eucharist. In Jesus Thirsts: Engaging in dialogue with notable Catholic figures, the film explores the biblical origins of the Eucharist and shares personal stories of individuals whose lives have been transformed by the Blessed Sacrament. This exploration makes it unmistakably clear that the Eucharist is not merely a symbol, but is indeed Jesus Christ Himself — fervently desiring to quench our spiritual thirst with His boundless love.” https://shorturl.at/3V1oq You can view the movie at Regal Crossgates and Colonie Center on June 4 & 5.

Bagels to Board Games was a fun community builder after Mass - Tuesday Drives collected so much food to stock our area food pantries - we thank our young church for DOING! Following Stations of the Cross we had fun reinforcing our call as Catholics to DO during the Middles School Star Wars event - All of our parish groups prayerfully lead us in the Stations of the Cross each Friday - during our Lenten Service week our Middle School and High School Faith Formation students gave of their monetary sacrifices to supply 200 brown bag lunches (200 ham and 200 PPJ sandwiches) for the Capital City Rescue Mission - Margaret Chabot and Jason Rose talked with our High Schoolers at Agape Latte about 1. Participating in Mass and receiving the Eucharist often, 2. Letting go of what brings you down: hurt, guilt, shame in the Sacrament of Reconciliation no matter how long it has been, 3. Praying the Rosary our Mother will hear and answer us, 4. Reading scripture, 5. Spending quiet time with Jesus in Adoration or in front of the Tabernacle - Moms Group had amazing discussion as usual - we had wonderful presentations by Fr. Matt and Fr. Kane for our Eucharistic Revival - our Lenten Museum inspired prayer - and we kicked off Lent with a successful soup sale, planting and Mardi Gras fun. Thank you to all who brought prayer, fasting and almsgiving to the forefront of our minds with these events this Lent. You may view our 2024 Lent photo album by clicking here.
