Cold hands and a HUGE WARM HEART! Fr. Shawn, Director of St. John/St. Ann’s Outreach Center, shared he is “humbled” by your generosity and love of neighbor! Thank you for the van load of needed personal items for our neighbors in the South End! Special shout out to our young church who braved the wind to sort and greet. You continue to make a difference!
The winds of generosity were witnessed the last two weeks at Lenten drives for the children served at Things of My Very Own Inc. God bless you for a van load of undergarments, hair brushes and no tear products for children experiencing the unthinkable. Special shout to our young church Cole and Emily for packing and sorting.
We thank Rev. Karen Pollan, Nancy Braaten and members of the Delmar Presbyterian Church for joining us in prayer and dialogue about caring for our Common Home. Special thanks to students at our parish school for creating informative posters on groundwater and poems reminding us to safe guard our waterways. We thank Marie Myer, member of our Creation Care Team, for sharing our good works here at St. Thomas and Jim Garry for our groundwater demonstration. Check out more information on caring for all of Creation this Lent in our Gathering Hall as well as admiring all or our student’s art work. Together let us each do our part to preserve everyone’s right to God’s precious life giving gift WATER!
Come to St. Thomas' Palm Sunday Prayer & Paint on April 10. Small items will be available to paint. Your artistry will then be part of St Thomas' MANY BLESSINGS OF WATER ART SHOW after all Masses the weekend of April 30. Proceeds from the Art Show will be sent to WATER WITH BLESSINGS to provide Navajo families with a portable water filtration device.
“I am convinced that we can make a difference…Now is the time for courageous actions and strategies, aimed at implementing a ‘culture of care’.” (Pope Francis)
