Tuesday Drive March 2 3pm-4pm in the church Parking Lot will be for TOLETRIES: body wash, shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste , individual toothbrushes, deodorant for teens, lotions, chap stick, razors, shaving cream, mouth wash, hand sanitizer, toothbrush holders and combs or brushes. Items will be used to create personal care bags for our Backpacks and all left over items will be given to “Things of My Very Own” for distribution as needed for our young neighbors in Foster Care. “WARM HEARTS” on snowy day! Thank you for the AMAZING support shown to our Veterans and their families served at the Veterans Miracle Center! Special shout out to our young church Jack Lanzoni and Dane Jones for sorting and greeting! We ended the drive in the chapel with the Blessed Sacrament. Robert offered a prayer of thanksgiving for our parish family. We in turn we offered a prayer of thanks for our dedicated veterans and their families who have sacrificed so much for us. We were blessed with a sunny gorgeous day to PACK our truck inside and out with food and toiletry items collected throughout the week for our neighbors served at St. Francis/ St. James Food Pantry! Special shout out to our young church: Colin NeJame and C.J. Franchini for sorting and packing! We thank our Pueblo to People Committee for cohosting and all of you our faithful AMIGOS. Pastoral Care has been busy making deliveries to seniors and homebound in the parish! 50 gift bags with Lenten readings, Valentine treats and cards went to our Assisted Living folks. 60 cards and Lenten materials went to the nursing home. 13 Valentine gifts bags with cards, cookies, candies and hand crafted heart pillows were delivered to Reilly House. 15 treat bags with heart pillows and Lenten readings are going and 25 bags of love are being delivered to the folks at home. The love is being felt around the community! A special thank you to all of the wonderful cards from the old and young that were sent in. And, thank you to our amazing YM/FF team and students. The hand crafted items, treats, and bags of love essential items put a smile on many faces during these cold days. The generosity of the parish is amazing!!
