Food Drive MONDAY August 2, 9:30am-10:30am in Church Parking Lot is for the South End Children’s Café. Most in need of FRESH PRODUCE! Cereal, bread, dried beans in a bag, rice, cans of chicken, cans of tuna and Laundry Detergent.  All items will be given to families Monday Afternoon for their food giveaway.  God Bless you for your LOVE of NEIGHBOR!  NO DRIVE ON TUESDAY AUGUST 3!

Linda Cruz outreach coordinator for St. James/St. Francis Food Pantry is in need of a Leap Frog laptop for a three year girl with a leaning disability. IF you have a gently used one or new that you would like to donate please email Mary Ann at [email protected] AND Linda Cruz at [email protected]. For our Food Drive Tuesday July 27 9:30am-10:30am in the church lot besides jelly, cereal, spaghetti sauce, toothpaste, deodorant and shampoo we will also be collecting any gently used LEARNING TOYS for AGES 1-6 years of age for St. James/St. Francis. This is SO true. Every time we rush about and attempt to "save ourselves," we fail. Every. Time.

Pollinators are essential to the ecosystem, helping flowers, fruits, and some crops reproduce. Pollinators are decreasing, though, due to a loss of habitat caused by residential, commercial, agricultural expansion and introduction of non-native plants into their home territories. Choose to protect pollinators.

In the Middle Ages, a small band of hermits built a chapel on Mount Carmel, the site of Elijah's battle with the prophets of Baal. The chapel was dedicated to Mary, and the hermits were eventually called "Carmelites."

St. Bonaventure, that great Doctor of the Church, points out to us today that God needs no more glory, but he desired to communicate it to us through creation.

This Tuesday’s Drive July 20, 9:30-10:30 a.m. in the church parking lot is for our neighbors served at St. John/St. Ann’s Outreach Center. We are collecting, mayonnaise, cans of spaghettio’s, bottle juices, dish detergent, lunchables and snacks for children’s lunches

St. Thomas you are AMAZING! It was wonderful to RECONNECT with one another as we KICKED OFF our SUMMER TUESDAY MORNING DRIVES! Rob from Veterans Miracle Center was so appreciative of your continued generosity and prayers for our Veterans and their families! Special shout out to our young church Carson and GiGi who did a terrific job greeting and sorting. If you find Tuesday mornings difficult to join us please feel free to drop off items on Sunday in the grocery cart by the church doors. God Bless you for your love of neighbor. Summer Tuesday Food Drives begin this Tuesday July 13 at a new time 9:30am-10:30am in the Church Parking Lot! We are collecting needed items for The Veterans Miracle Center: toothpaste, men’s deodorant, any brand of generic pain reliever, prepared microwavable meals, quart zip lock bags, and set of 4 drinking glasses or set of 4 silverware sets. God Bless you for your generosity!

Please remember in your prayers Anna Bernasconi, a young adult of our parish who is participating in a 10 day mission trip with FOCUS ( Fellowship of Catholic University Students). Anna and her team will be assisting a community in Peru with construction and evangelization. Blessings to their team and those they will be serving. Patron St. of Peru, St. Rose of Lima, watch over them and guide them as the make a difference in the lives our neighbors in Peru! Thank you Anna for spreading the Good News!
