Shawn is an ecclesial minister, theology teacher and UAlbany PhD student of philosophy. Attendees will be invited to try this academic skill for themselves as we dive into the meaning of words, their translations, and how they impact the way we interpret texts. Capital Region Catholic is gathering young adults ages 21-39 for an evening of good food, Latin music, and if you wish, free salsa lessons on July 22 at 6pm in Freedom Park in Scotia behind Jumping Jacks. Come early to claim your spot, grab some food, and settle in. Dance lessons to start, followed by Alex Torres and his Latin Orchestra. You’re free to sit and listen, practice the dance steps you’ve just learned, or listen while having some drive-in food.

The Diocese of Albany is hosting the Step Up Men's Conference on Saturday, August 12 from 8:30-5 pm at the Our Lady of Martyrs Shrine in Auriesville. The Step Up Men's Conference will give men the tools needed to grow in holiness in their everyday lives. The event will include presentations from Fr. Larry Richards and Deacon Darrell Miller, Reconciliation, Adoration, Rosary, and 4 pm Mass. The purpose of this event is to grow in our relationship with Christ and establish a plan to bring this energy back to our families and parish families.
