Tuesday, July 30th, 7:00 pm, The Warbler Brewery, 155 Delaware Ave, Delmar, NY 12054 During this event, Shawn Allen will review the meaning of Exegesis and will model the practice on Paul’s Leaven Allegory (1 Corinthians 5:6-8). Shawn is an ecclesial minister, theology teacher and UAlbany PhD student of philosophy. Attendees will be invited to try this academic skill for themselves as we dive into the meaning of words, their translations, and how they impact the way we interpret texts. If you’re seeking to further and add more nuance to your understanding of scripture, if you’re curious about this fascinating approach to deep reading, or if you like good beer and NA beverages, we warmly welcome young adults ages 18-39 to join us!

The Roman Catholic Diocese of Albany in collaboration with the Sisters of Saint Joseph of Carondelet invite young adults (Ages 18-39) to join us for Good News & Cold Brews on Thursday, April 25th at 7 PM at the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet Provincial House, 385 Watervliet-Shaker Road, Latham, NY. Good News & Cold Brews guest presenter is Sr. Lin Neil, CSJ. She will speak about Laudato Si' – Pope Francis’ second encyclical about care for our common home.

Nov 30 at Mater Christi Parish in Albany, Fr. Dan McHale will give a presentation on the Theology of Suffering from 6:30- 7:30pm, followed by a Holy hour with Adoration, Benediction & Confessions.

Capital Region Catholic is gathering young adults ages 21-39 for an evening of good food, Latin music, and if you wish, free salsa lessons on July 22 at 6pm in Freedom Park in Scotia behind Jumping Jacks. Come early to claim your spot, grab some food, and settle in. Dance lessons to start, followed by Alex Torres and his Latin Orchestra. You’re free to sit and listen, practice the dance steps you’ve just learned, or listen while having some drive-in food.

The Diocese of Albany in collaboration with Spa City Catholic will host Real Talk Rosary (RTR) for young adults ages 21-39 on Monday, July 10 at 7 PM at St. Isaac Jogues Church (on Saratoga Lake), 716 Route 9P, Saratoga Springs. We will pray the rosary and pause for small group reflections during each mystery. The event will include fun / social time, prayer time, and conversations that will help guide us on our faith journey. *** Bring your rosary beads, a lawn chair, bug spray, etc. *** We will be OUTDOORS - sitting by the lake at sunset

St. Thomas the Apostle Church is hosting, on Tuesday, June 27 at 6 pm, this month's installment of the Furthering Your Faith series. Fr. Stephen Yusko will be giving a talk entitled "Pride," which will be followed by a Holy Hour from 7-8 pm. Priests will be available to hear confessions during this time. Furthering Your Faith is a collaboration between parish networks in the Capital Region, offering monthly lectures on a variety of topics germane to Catholic life. Each one-hour talk will be followed by a period of prayer, featuring an hour of Eucharistic Adoration and Benediction. These events are free of charge and open to all ages.

The Catholic Moms Faith and Fellowship Group is an organization for Catholic mothers who would like meet other Catholic mothers who share their faith. The group meets for prayer (and Mass on occasion), conversation and refreshments. Babysitting is provided for the children. The Diocese of Albany is hosting the Step Up Men's Conference on Saturday, August 12 from 8:30-5 pm at the Our Lady of Martyrs Shrine in Auriesville. The Step Up Men's Conference will give men the tools needed to grow in holiness in their everyday lives. The event will include presentations from Fr. Larry Richards and Deacon Darrell Miller, Reconciliation, Adoration, Rosary, and 4 pm Mass. The purpose of this event is to grow in our relationship with Christ and establish a plan to bring this energy back to our families and parish families. June 21st from 7-9 pm at St. Edward the Confessor Church, 569 Clifton Park Center Rd., Clifton Park. Fr. Dan Quinn, Pastor of Blessed Sacrament in Albany, will be presenting on Theology of the Body. Christ the King Church is extending an invitation to join their Coffee and Conversations on June 15 at 6pm to view and discuss documentaries on Blessed Carlo Acutis and Saint Edith Stein.

Young adults are invited to join others from across the diocese for "Good News & Cold Brews" -- a Young Adult Happy Hour and presentation on an interesting and relevant topic to help us on our faith journeys. March 7 at 7 PM at the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondolet Provincial House 385 Watervliet-Shaker Road, Latham. The guest presenter is Sr. Eileen McCann speaking about St. Joseph in a presentation entitled, “Joseph, Dreamer or Believer: Is There a Difference?”. Most of the limited scripture references to Joseph refer to his dreams. In prayer and conversation we will unpack these dreams and learn more about the faithfulness of this holy man as he strove to be husband and earthly father to Mary and Jesus. Attendees must register.
